Neil Young's streaming is on. Got to listen! I went to the website Ben told me about before. The guitar sound is coming out, and the voice of Neil Young began. There is a power to the song, and very straight melody.
But something is strange. He is singing "Stinkin' War". I haven't heard anyone sing "Stinkin' War" for a long time. I haven't seen anyone using the word "Stinkin' War" on TV. But I agree, this war is really stinkin'. Nobody knows why it started and why it continues anymore. I remembered John saying "Our president is saying something totally opposite from what he said awhile ago."
"Try to remember peace" Neil sings. Many people are dying in Iraq. Why don't we talk about peace? Why don't we speak out that killing is wrong? Why are people who march for peace called anti-patriotic? I thought about Fernando and Jesus. I pictured Cindy calling for peace.
"Dividing our country into colors, and still leaving black people neglected" Neil sings. I thought about Malik. No government officials has ever visited his camp to offer help. People who support Malik and people who neglect him, people who say no to the war and people who are OK with it, people who worry about the Earth and people who care about money more than the Earth. America is divided into two.
"Let's Impeach The President" Neil is shouting. "Let's impeach the President for lying, shipping all our money out the door, tapping our computers and telephones, and misleading our country into war". He is singing everything I've been wondering all these years. "Let's Impeach The President" I was singing with him. "Let's Impeach The President"
After repeating so many times, I started to feel that I needed to let others know.
